Second Season Started

Orchestra Gradus ad Parnassum, youth group based in Pleasanton, CA opened its second season in a new magnificent venue - Mission Santa Clara known for its one of the best acoustical qualities. Program included music by J. S. Bach, Mozart, Faure, Delibes, J. Strauss and Prokofiev. Featured soloist - Bay Area's favorite and internationally acclaimed soprano Olga Chernisheva. Conductor - Artistic Director Temirzhan Yerzhanov.

Inaugural Season Finale

Orchestra Gradus ad Parnassum closed its inaugural season with the third and final concert presenting best music students from Dublin, Pleasanton, Livermore, San Ramon and vicinity.  The concert featured internationally acclaimed Music Director Imant Airea, Artistic Director and “Best Performer of Year” by SF Classical Voice, pianist Temirzhan Yerzhanov in a rare Chopin’s work and Bay Area’s favorite coloratura soprano Alexandra Sessler in dazzling arias of Queen of the Night and Adele. Second concert was a new step!

The Second Concert of the Inaugural Season broke a record in number of players, variety of instruments and in public attendance as well. Groups Apollo and Delphi were joined by harpist Shannon Zheng, organist Arushi Arora, percussionist Kavin Raj, violinists Alexandra Zhu, Anne Plescia and Bryan Sun. Significant contribution was made by professional players and coaches Katherine Hagen, Jonathan Mikus-Mahoney and James Schulz. The central spot in the concert was taken by violinist Igor Veligan who lyrically soloed in Wieniawski's Legende and Music Director Imant Airea with his enormous passion for music.
